to the folks at Rand McNally.

Climate |

Grand Lake enjoys a mild winter climate, an
early spring and pleasant summers. The average winter temperature (Dec.
– Feb.) is 37 degrees and summer temperature (June – August) average
is 82 degrees. The average annual rainfall is around 35 inches and
winter snows average less than 8 inches per year. |

Cost of Living |

Oklahoma ranks third best in the nation based on
taxes, health and housing costs. Grand Lake has a wide variety of
available housing, including lakefront sites. |

Boating, fishing, swimming, skiing, sailing,
diving,
canoeing, golfing and dining, plus fairs, festivals, living history,
hunting, museums and more supply an almost unlimited variety of activities.

Taxes/Fees |

Within
the city limits of the various communities, a city sales tax of 2%
to 3% is charged on retail purchases in addition to state (4.5%)
and County taxes. Some communities require a business license. |

Public Boat Launching Ramps |

Ramps
are available at Ketchum Cove, Clear Water Bay Marina, Lakemont
Marina, Cedar Port Marina, Stoney Point, in Grove and at Hammerhead Marina.
