The Grand Lake Association is constantly trying to
provide new services for our members and we have recently launched a new
application which will help area business be found more easily.
As you know, we launched a new website this summer with
more pictures and more information on our members. Today’s mobile traveler wants to have that information at their
fingertips and as readily available as possible and there are more and more
people relying on their smart phones to gather information.
That is why we now have a mobile friendly application for
our website. If you have a smart-phone,
like a blackberry or an I-phone, you can now easily maneuver our website with
your mobile device. Simply type in our
website, www.grandlakefun.com, into
your smart phone and you will be able to see the new application.
The smart-phone app will show a larger tab for “Where to
Stay,” “Where to Eat,” “Local Services” etc., and if you have your own page on
our website, it will also show the rotating pictures on their mobile phone as
well as any pertinent information that you might want listed.
The
mobile app will also have a map feature so if a person is looking for a place
to eat or shop, the map will show up with a dot so they can more readily find a
business. If someone can get a phone
signal on the lake they will even be able to find the closest marina or
restaurant.
We are constantly trying to make upgrades so we can meet
the needs of our members and visitors that will be coming to the area and the
smart-phone application will help.
